Minun.
ICFF Studio Competition, USA, June 2015
Inspired by watching drips run off the rim of a paint can, ‘Minun’ is a playful yet dramatic approach to the typical wooden stool. This piece was designed for and selected as one of the winners of the ICFF Studio competition which gives young designers a platform to show their work.
Despite its swooping curves, Minun is much easier to manufacture than it appears. Each leg is milled from a single wooden board and the seat is milled from two boards side by side. The pieces are connected with doweled butt joints.
